Would God find a wife for me?
I considered myself a decent Christian guy with reasonable looks and personality, yet I had always had trouble finding a woman who would be a good wife for me. Each of the relationships I pursued with my own abilities always resulted in failure. Typically, myself or the girl ended up emotionally hurt, not to mention the discomfort that was caused to families and the time wasted. I realized that just because a girl happened to be a strong Christian didn’t mean that we were going to be compatible.
I was now in my mid 30’s and starting to worry that I would be alone for the rest of my life. Not long after breaking out of another senseless mismatched relationship, I began examining Biblical scriptures about prayer, specifically what God expected one to do in order to get a prayer answered.
To my surprise, many of the scriptures I discovered indicated that Christians could generally expect God to answer their prayers. It became clear that if I asked God for something that I needed and believed that I received it, I could expect Him to grant it to me. I found the scripture in John 15:7 where Jesus said:
“If you abide in Me and my words in you, ask what you will and it will be done for you.”
I decided to pray. I asked God for a suitable wife and wrote down the exact date and kept it in a file on my computer. I tried not to worry much about it after that. The responsibility was out of my hands and in God’s. I kept believing and thanking God.
A year or so later, I ended up meeting a woman on a Christian friendship web site that allowed members to post their profiles with testimonies and info about themselves. Without going into detail, the manner in which we met didn’t follow the usual protocol of the web site service and it was doubtful that we would end up in a relationship together. Yet, things progressed to our surprise.
She was a Christian believer like myself, but lived on the other side of the world. She had also prayed in a similar fashion asking God for a suitable husband. We arranged to meet in person after about a year or so of corresponding and talking via phone and chat messaging. It turned out that she was absolutely perfect for me and vice versa.
Due to immigration issues, we had to wait and suffer for years before we could actually get married. Now, we’re enjoying the fruits of a wonderful marriage relationship. Thanks to God for answering our prayers.
I was encouraged with this testimony as I also am looking for a girl to be my wife.
I to am believing God for my prince charming.
Thank you for your testimony. I am in a similar situation. I recently started searching God’s word to find out about prayer and what God expects of me to have a prayer answered. I believe God’s word and I know if I continue to trust and believe he will give me the desires of my heart like he did you. God Bless You!
this has encouraged me.. thx

I recently went through a painful breakup but I am believing God that my wife comes from Him. Thnx for your testimony. To the brothers and sisters who are waiting I say God will never dissapoint you, He loves us with a special and great love that no person can match. Do what God wants because it will last and not what you want because it is lust.
Father god works in mysterious ways…. I have currently left a relationship that was probably not good for me & now, I just have to believe that our father will guide me and give me the wisdom I desire to follow his plan in my life, and it shall be done. It is done no question about it. Thankyou Jesus
Thanks for your testimony. I am in similar kind of situation. I am confused and worried but after reading this testimony I am happy. I will pray to the lord and give it in his hands. I have decided to write down a date in my diary. Thanks again.
This was a good testimony, but the date you wrote down kept me wondering, did you meet your loved one on that exact date?
JZ, thanks for your kind words. December 26th 2004 is just the date the testimony was posted. We met a few years before that.
JZ, I am glad you have accepted Christ. Now, try your very best to stay out of the sins. True repentence means turning away from sins. Although you may still stumble, do not be surprised. I believe God will be pleased and he will reveal more of himself to you if you are desperate for him. He desires you to try your best 100% in obedience, but you shall never forget to pray for the Empowerment of the Holy Spirit in Jesus name to help you with your sins.
This coming April I will have been praying for a wife for eighteen years. I have prayed every day with thanksgive for Jesus to bring me a christian wife. According to Luke 18:1 a christian should pray night and day and not give up because God will bring the answer to your prayer in his timing. God is not a cookie cutter God. He has different times for different people for different reasons. If you are truly searching for a wife or husband, trust Jesus with all your heart and never quit praying. He will answer your prayer because he loves you. Trust him for the timing. It is my prayer that all who read this are blessed with the understanding of how faith operates within the frame work of consistent daily prayer offered up to God in Jesus name. Trust Jesus…your wife ….your husband is on the way!
Amen
Deep
Wish I had your faith Robert
My question to you is, did you receive your wife the actual date you asked God?
Ray, I believed that I received before the answer actually manifested. That was much later. I stayed focused on the scriptures and told others that I was expecting to be married. This scripture is the main one that I mentioned in prayer and took to heart:
John 15:7
Mark 11:24 also comes to mind:
Emory, can you please tell me, is this your own testimony? I’m a bit confused, the prior comment from JZ asks about the date being written down, and he is answered from “Anonymous’. Then Ray asks in his comment, and he is answered by you. So Emory, are you the guy Anonymous, who is actually posted under the name Testimony Share?
Anyway, great story! I love the quote from John 15:7. And just so you know, I’ve been making my way through more testimonies, finding more inspiring stuff to savor. ?
Gary, thanks for the comment and for pointing out the discrepancy. I’m not sure why I commented as anonymous, but I changed it to my name because I made it. I’m realizing I need to update this testimony because there is actually a bit more to it. The site was called “CrossDaily.com” and she had waited about 3 months for me to respond. She naturally became disappointed. She closed her account and 2 or 3 minutes later, my email appeared in her inbox.
Emory, I’m doing a follow-up here:
Recently as I was reading through another testimony,
I realized it was written by Suzana, who is indeed your wife. She wrote about her near-death experience in that particular testimony. I forgot to tag that, so I’ve been trying to find it again, but I can’t seem to locate it, please help.
BTW, that article would make a great companion piece for this Perfect Wife Testimony!
Gary, the one you are referring to is this, I believe: https://testimonyshare.com/prayer-is-powerful/.
I’m still pruning some of the old testimonies and adding pics, working my way up from 2004 and have made it almost all the way through 2011. Good point about the companion piece. Suzana has a few and I have a few and I had actually thought about combining some of them. Feel free to let me know if you see anything that you think needs corrections or has errors or whatever, thanks.
I need also wife for my life,i hope God will give me a wife according to His will .
Marrying is not just 2 imperfect persons bound together, but it is a covenant to the Lord. It is really important that before marriage you are stable on your faith because man ought to love her wife as how Jesus christ died for our sin. And the wife ought to submit to her husband as he is a christian should submit to our living God. If we are looking for someone to marry believing that it will complete us, that’s totally wrong. You are complete and by the grace of our Lord befire taking it. Praise the Lord.
God is faithful. He is the author of marriage. Happy for you Bro; its amazing to have a good wife and helper.
