Hi Guys,
I’ve been a Christian for 28 years, and have in the past, been a colourful character to say the least. I recently wrote a book called Knocking out my Demons by Paul Huggins, to cut a very long story short, I was a British champion Amateur boxer, turned professional. I had some inspiring fights, some being with the world champion Barry McGuigan, British Champion John Feeney, European Champion Vincenzo Limatola, and many more, ranking number one in the UK professional featherweight division after beating Vincenzo.
After my boxing career, I ended up working with drug cartels, and getting involved with organised crime, until one day after being arrested for possession of a sawn-off shotgun, and under suspicion of murder. To cut another long story short, I was sentenced to prison.
While in prison, whilst reading the bible, Jesus came into my life, and miraculously changed me from a criminal to a God-fearing believing child of God through our Lord Jesus Christ, it was absolutely incredible! When I left prison, I went and found a Christian Church immediately.
My wife Berns and I now head up an organisation called Missionary SEED, Support, Educate, Equip and Develop, where we help young people in the slums of the Philippines come to know Christ. I, along with my colleagues, also run a boxing club here in Hastings.
Jesus Christ’s intervention in my life was and still is a complete life changing experience that I like to share with others. I’d be delighted to share my Testimony if you have room for me.
