I found this website during university when I was stressed and looking for comfort and encouragement for my exams. To set the context, throughout high school, I had always been a last minute person when it came to studying. By the grace of God, I had always managed to do well despite this. Fast forward to university, this approach had put me in an ‘impossible’ situation. There was too much material to cover sufficiently for the exams. For some of my modules, I had left myself only one day to cover the entire semester’s work.
Reading through many testimonies shared on this website fueled my faith in believing God to do a miracle within all my exams. I told my self that I would come back and share my testimony after my exams.
To the glory of God, not only did I pass my exams, I came out with a first class (the highest classification for exam results) in my first year exams.
2 Corinthians 12:9-But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
However, I never came back to share my testimony. I would seem to forget until I was back in the same situation and needed help for my exams again. This was the start of a continuous cycle of leaving my studying until the last minute and then coming back and asking God for help. this continued all the way throughout my time during university, even up until handing in my final year dissertation late. Yet time after time, God always saved me.
Nahum 1:7-The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him,
The situations got seemingly more ‘impossible’ as time went on. There were many times when I didn’t manage to cover all of the study material and the exams only contained the information that I had seen. Other times, I’d only have a short amount of time to complete my assignment and then I’d miraculously get an exceptional score.
Despite repeating the same mistakes over and over again, God never left me.
Psalm 103:8-The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love.
Lamentations 3:23-Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.
I cannot say all this without stressing enough that this was not because I am naturally smart or anything. This is only because of God. Every good and perfect gift comes from the Lord and that applies to my results. My highest scores were always on the exams where I thought I had performed poorly and my lower scores were where I believe I had done the best. I believe that God did this so that I couldn’t be deluded and inflate my confidence in my own intelligence or ability. I write this today as a master’s student. It can only be God that I am still here, after graduating from my first degree and working towards completing my second.
Looking back, its easy to question why I would continue worrying when God would provide miracles in my exams time and time again. I think that’s because every situation seems different from the last and it always seems that the difficulty increases. I want to remind anyone in this position who is feeling worried and overwhelmed that it doesn’t matter how much harder this situation is from the last, nothing is too hard for the Lord!
Jeremiah 32:27-27-I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?
If you are under intense stress and don’t see a way out, remember that God is with you through all things. In the bible, when Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were in the fiery furnace, the furnace was heated up seven times hotter than usual!
Remember this, when you feel overwhelmed and feel that this trial you’re facing is harder than the last. The Lord was with them through this intense trial . They were not harmed and not a single hair on their heads singed.
They survived and so will you!
Thank you so much for this! it really encouraged me! I AM A VERY LAST MINUTE PESON as well , and thankyou for the reminder that he never gives up on us, i am in the midst of finishing my last final year assignment, and really need god’s grace for this last push to finish it ALL BBY HIS GRACE.
God power, grace, mercy, and miracle is still doing exploit in a marvelous way.
2 Cor. 12:9; Nahum 1:7; Psalm 103:8; Lamentation 3:23; Jeremiah 32:27;
I have always been a follower of this platform because am a living testimonies of how God does marvelous things.
I finished an examination last two weeks as a PhD student currently studying in South Korea. But it was quite unfortunate that after studying so hard I was only able to solve one out of the five questions of the last paper I wrote in the examination. I was really sad about it but I quickly realized that God has never failed us in whatever situations once we wanted him to arise for our sake. I prayed so hard and key myself into HIS promises in the listed bible scriptures above that night after the examination.
After I slept that night, I had a dream of a correctional grade miracle God did for me. He showed to me what should have been my exactly grade (which was indeed very bad) and now showed me a new grade that’ll make me not to fail the course. I woke quickly and claim the new grade by faith.
Beloveth, consistency is always needed from us when we’re trusting God for a breakthroughs or advancements in a place of prayer. To God be the glory, I saw the grade today and indeed God has answered HIS name in my life and I passed excellently. Thank you Jesus!!!
This testimony is exactly what I needed, Thank you Jesus, Thank you for sharing.
