I was very early on in pregnancy (like 5 or 6 weeks), and I was happily enjoying watching a movie with my fiancé and 2 1/2-year-old son. While watching the movie, I felt a sudden “gush” feeling come out of my lady parts and so I went to the bathroom. I quickly realized that the “gush” I felt was blood. It was quite a bit of blood, so I was concerned and therefore prayed for the safety of my baby.
The next day I went to the urgent care, but they told me there was nothing they could do, and advised me to just get some rest, So I went home and relaxed that day. At some point I prayed for confirmation that the baby was still alive, and I tried my best to not worry about it.
The next day I went to the store and just after I got out of my car, a man was coming out of the store and walked past me. But as he walked past, he looked at me and said,
“Congratulations ma’am!”
I told him thank you and tried to think of who he was and how he knew I was pregnant. I didn’t recognize him, and I hadn’t told anybody (except my mom and fiancé) that I was pregnant and yet this man somehow seemed to know. It was at that point that I remembered my prayer where I asked God for confirmation.
