Hello, I am a 43-year-old male who was delivered from alcoholism, porn, and anger.
In 2014 I had met a woman on a dating site called “plenty of fish” and we had drunk heavily regularly, and she noticed that I suffered with the addiction, drinking all night and I would be so angry at her for small things. The relationship was on a slippery slope.
After a couple months of living together her black lab dog had wrecked the neighbor’s screens on their porch, so I went over to try figure out how I was going to help replace them and that’s when I met them. And they invited me to a church, and they gave me a church card. I brought that church card home and showed it to my girlfriend and we both agreed we would go the following Sunday.
We went and that first service there was an altar call and we both walked up to the altar for prayer. And we prayed and wept. We were feeling something very special and little by little every Sunday that we went we were winning the battle.
We started cleaning up our house. I remember getting rid of all our evil movies, books, tarot cards, even clothes and jewelry. I prayed fervently around our home and children.
In 2015 we both got married and then we were baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. In July 2015 I had done a terrible thing, I drank a 6 pack of beer and a bottle of wine, and my wife was so mad at me and the next morning I was so sick, and I felt terrible. A few days later we went to an evening revival service at church and there was an altar call and we both went up for prayer and worship.
As I began to praise and worship the Most High God Jesus, I started smelling cedar really strong and I noticed the women laughing to my right. So, I was curious what was funny, so I walked over there. And when I was praising and singing one of the women had told my wife to touch my belly.
When my wife touched my belly with her finger I was instantly filled with power from on high. I felt electric current in my belly flowing and it began to fill me with strength, and I felt joy in my chest, and I began to jump and praise God with all my heart, soul and strength jumping for joy. I was weeping and laughing so much I didn’t want this kind of love to stop.
It all stopped after about 5 minutes. I was delivered from all cravings of alcohol, porn, anger and now I have a craving for Jesus and His word instead. I am so thankful every day for the miracle. All glory and honor to Jesus! Praise Him alone! Amen Hallelujah Jesus
