God Wants Everyone Healed

I believe that God wants everyone healed. Why? Because I don’t believe there is any sickness or illness in heaven. One of the first prayers I ever learned was the “Lord’s Prayer” as it is commonly called. Even in that prayer, which Jesus taught, states God’s will be done as it is in heaven.

“Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.”
Matthew 6:8-13 NKJV

Every person that Jesus met that wanted healing was healed. As someone who suffered from arthritis, this is something to rejoice about. I met with two top orthopedic surgeons who told me my only option was to have both of my hips replaced. One of which stated that he had seen patients with half the arthritis he saw in my X-rays, and they were ready to jump over a cliff because of the pain. He was surprised I could sit up much less walk. I told him that God sustains me – which in turn he gave me a blank stare. I never went back and decided a surgeon’s blade will not touch me. I don’t judge anyone who decided otherwise.

I didn’t believe then or now that God wants me to have hip replacement surgery. The Word of God says that Jesus paid for every sickness, illness, and disease.

“who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.”
I Peter 2:24 NKJV

I stand on the promise – literally. Day by day I experience improvement. I no longer take any pain medication, prescribed or over-the-counter, and I no longer walk with a cane. This has been nearly a two-year process. Why has it taken so long? Pride and unbelief for the most part. Not long ago that would have been hard for me to admit. The Lord has brought me through so much in my life. I learned to trust Him with many things, but I realize I didn’t trust Him for everything. Praise God I turned that corner!

Nothing is too great or too small for you to bring to God. I know He loves me and is faithful in all His ways – I have realized that through experience. I was provided my healing when Jesus died on the cross. I received my healing when I believed and trusted Jesus for it. I have heard and seen many miracles that were instant – mine was not one of them. I’m blessed and I praise Jesus just the same.
