My Relationship with this person was very wonderful and amazing. However, our relationship got very toxic, and he would do very inappropriate things like express his feelings to another female and look at other women with desire. I meet him when I didn’t know Christ until then, I realized I have sin.
We ended up taking a break and coming back from a 3-month break. I forgave him but I always feel in my hurt he does not belong to me, and I feel like it’s the Lord telling me to walk away.
In any spiritual task, the foundation is very important. Jesus said a wise person will build upon the solid rock which will be able to keep the structure even in the midst of strong storms. As you highlighted, the foundation seems to be faulty, so I will advise you to be careful about the relationship. Agreement is very important for two people or more people to relate effectively. As there seems to be no agreement between you and him, this is also a pointer that you need to be careful with such relationship.
In all, the leading of the Holy Spirit is very important to us as children of God. Go to God for His leading. He wants to speak to us. We are told in Matthew 7:7 to ask, knock and find. So, ask God for His direction concerning your marital life and ask with open mind. God will surely speak His mind to you.
