Daughter Healed by after Airport Prayer

Today I Found a Letter

Today I found an envelope with a letter and pictures that is so much encouragement to me. It was 24 years ago I was waiting in an airport terminal waiting on a connecting flight. I had about a two-hour layover, an inconvenience however we need to learn that sometimes an inconvenience is God’s plan.

First let me say I am a white male 35 years old at the time. Across from me sat an elderly black woman, she was weeping and in disarray. I stepped over to her and asked if she was okay.

She said no and shared that she was on her way north to see her granddaughter. Her granddaughter was in the hospital in ICU on life support. She was trying to get there as they were going to be removing her from life support and she so wanted to see her one more time before she was gone.

At this point in my life, I was about to do something that was way out of my comfort zone. I stepped across to her knelt down at her feet as she sat there and asked if I could pray for her, her family and her granddaughter. She told me that it would be fine and please do.

I felt the presence and power of God move and boldly believed and began to pray for a miracle. For Jesus to intercede and raise her from her death bed to life. People were staring oddly as this young white man knelt and prayed with this black woman he did not know.

Approximately one month later I was to receive a letter from this woman with 6 pictures enclosed. She arrived in time; they removed her from life support. They wept and waited. The young girl, a teenager began to revive on her own and regain her consciousness. She was healed, restored and not only that, regained her ability to walk again.

Today, 24 years later, the grandmother and I connected through social media. The young woman is thriving, married with children and a healthcare professional. God obviously was not finished yet with her life. Death had no sting and the healer showed up.

After the original experience, it encouraged me to continue to believe for miracles and since then I have traveled throughout Africa and seen many more miracles and healing. Connecting to her today encouraged me that we do not give up. We take our God encounters and move forward, step into the giftings and callings God has on our lives.
