The Yearning Feeling I Have for Christ

Since I have surrendered my life to Christ, I have been reading the bible and praying more. It has been 3 years since our Lord Jesus Christ saved me. I made many mistakes along the way even now, but I try my best every day and I am grateful for the love that God have for us.

Lately I have been watching Billy Graham’s videos and every day the yearning feeling I have for Christ gets stronger and stronger.

I grew up from a devout Catholic family and I always attended church. However, after moving abroad my family stopped going for years. When I was little, I did not feel that much connection to God and did not understand anything in the Bible I memorized a lot of prayers and verses from bible study, but I did not feel anything.

Now every time I read the Bible or recite prayers and verses that have stayed in my memory I feel a totally different feeling. When I recite a verse or when I read the Bible, I feel a breath of fresh air. Even just hearing Jesus Christ name I feel a surge of longing feeling for him. I have learned to forgive and let go of my anger. To be more patient, give more to others, have less time being glued to social media and letting go of other distractions.

Through all that I have gone through I feel blessed and thankful for the relationship I have with Christ now and I pray every day that my family also become closer to him.
