I’m a 37-year-old first time mom from Sri Lanka.
Last year, when I was 6 months pregnant with my baby, it was found in a scan that the baby has a growth restriction (IUGR) as a result of less blood flow from me to the baby. We were told by 3 specialists that the chances of survival of the baby cannot be guaranteed and even if the baby survives, the baby will have to spend a minimum of 2 weeks in the NICU.
Also, that the baby may not have proper skin or hair developed as the body would prioritise blood supply to the vital organs and everything else is deprioritised. We were told we should be taking the baby out after completing 32 weeks. All 3 specialists that we consulted told us plainly,
“There’s nothing you can do.”
There’s no treatment or cure for the situation we are in.
We were obviously devastated by what we heard and cried to the Lord for his intervention. After 3 days when we went for the subsequent scan, it was revealed the blood flow is normal – there’s sufficient blood flowing to the baby – PRAISE GOD. (However, the prediction given about the baby and the medical precautions to be taken did not change.)
I have no words to thank my Lord Jesus for the greatest miracle he did in my life. He fixed what man couldn’t. He proved to be the God of the impossible. Jesus, who went about healing people while on this earth, is still in the business of healing. His healing virtue has not diminished. He’s the same yesterday, today and forever.
Moreover, when our beautiful baby girl was born at 36 weeks, she was a perfect baby, with a head full of hair and all her organs including her skin were fully developed. She lacked nothing. She had no complications and never had to be taken to the NICU. God gave us a “perfect gift”.
We are also grateful to God for the few people he raised to pray for us during the difficult period we went through. May the Lord bless them abundantly.
All honour and glory belong to Jesus for the wonderful miracle he has done in our lives. It’s purely his grace and favour that we were able to experience his wonder working power. Jesus is faithful. Jesus is good.
Don’t be discouraged by a negative diagnosis – Jesus can overturn it overnight. He did it for me, he can do it for you too. There’s hope and healing in Jesus, he’s all you need!
Praise the Lord!

Praise God this is such a wonderful testimony. Jesus is able.
Amen!
Hi Chrishantie, one detail especially touched me in your testimony – that Jesus overturned the negative diagnosis overnight. Just yesterday I was reading Ps. 46 and it started with- God is our refuge and strength a very present help in trouble… And by verse 5 says … God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved and that right early. Most times we think we have to keep praying and praying over and over and over as if our God is deaf, but your testimony agrees with this Psalm 46 that not only is God a very present help in time of trouble but that He comes right early! Delay is not in His character though His time may not be ours but delaying is not the word with him.
Praise Jesus and may your baby girl continue to grow in strength, beauty and favor with God and everyone who encounters her and your family. Amen to
Praise God.
Yes, our God is never late.
Thank you and Amen to the beautiful words of blessings for our baby girl
