An Inspiration testimony by Shalom Gillella
On March 3rd, 2026, while working as a hotelier, I experienced a moment that deeply touched my heart. As I was doing my rounds in the hotel, I suddenly heard loud noise coming from the restaurant. It was disturbing other guests. I quickly walked toward the sound and found a group of women having a kitty party, along with their children. Around 35 kids were running everywhere, completely out of control.
Without hesitation, I stepped forward and, in a firm voice, said, “Silence. Sit in your respective places.”
To my surprise, every single child immediately responded, “Yes, sir,” and sat down quietly.
I stood there amazed. Moments before, they were calling others “aunty” and “uncle,” but now they were calling me “sir.” In that moment, I realized something powerful—true authority brings respect.
Right then, the Word of God came to my heart:
“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” (John 10:27)
I felt a deep revelation – every child is God’s creation, and within their nature is a willingness to listen, to obey, and to respond to true authority.
Then another scripture filled my heart:
“Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (Matthew 19:14)
Children reflect the kingdom of God – pure, innocent, kind, and beautiful in spirit. Free from hatred, corruption, and pride.
At that moment, memories came rushing back. Years ago, I served as a Sunday school teacher for slum children in West Marredpally. I taught them songs and Bible stories. Those days were filled with joy and purpose. God used me as a channel of blessing to draw those children closer to Him.
It wasn’t my strength; it was the anointing of God that helped me guide them. And standing there in that hotel, after so many years, I realized something beautiful: The anointing of God still works in me. The calling has not left me. Even today… I still find a Sunday school teacher alive in me.
