So, from a very young age, I remember watching inappropriate videos that were about two women; I was 6 when I came across those videos online. I also was a tomboy growing up, I would wear my stepdads’ clothes all the time. I also remember having crushes on girls in 5th grade.
I started identifying as trans later in middle school, 6th grade. I met this girl who wanted to be a boy, and she changed her name to Elliot, and I was curious, so I looked it up, and I saw videos of women getting top surgery and hormones. So, I thought I was a guy after those videos, and I hated my body, my voice, everything about myself. I wanted to be a guy, and I believed I was a guy too. So, from there, my life was very miserable, and I was constantly depressed.
Fast forward to August 2026, a few days before foundation school started, I was getting frustrated. I wanted everybody to call me Andy, and to use He/him pronouns, and I was battling negative thoughts of leaving the church because I didn’t want to be judged. I was even considering going to this rainbow community accepting church, but I never went because I didn’t know what doctrines they’d be teaching.
I spoke to pastor Ruky Thursday and Friday, and both times that she and I spoke, I was so offended. But what was so interesting to me is that even though I was offended, I listened and I didn’t cut her off rudely. On Thursday I told her what I wanted to be called, and she redirected me to God’s word and told me that I was born a woman. That God created male and female, and that He saw all of what He created and He said it was good, including male and female. From there I started thinking a lot about what she said.
On Friday, I still didn’t want to go to foundation school, and Pastor Ruky said something that made me rethink my life, and my identity. She said,
“You can’t keep living your life based on how you feel”.
Long story short, I was convinced of going to foundation school again, and what Pastor Chiamaka taught that day at foundation school on Saturday had me thinking again. That as Christians, we don’t live our lives by feelings anymore, but by the word of God alone, no open mind.
These words sat in my spirit; I kept meditating on it. It never left my heart. I was rethinking everything, constantly, and I began to receive revelations from God about who I truly am, that if I was born in the wrong body, I wouldn’t have been born in a female body, or that God didn’t create me to have distressing feelings. The last thought that finally led me to accept that I was born a female, is that if there isn’t one way to be a woman, and all women look and are different, then the only thing that makes me a woman is the fact that I was born female, regardless of how others see me, or how I see myself. After all these thoughts, I finally said to myself,
“Oh wow, I’m a woman!”,
and then the next day, I accepted that homosexuality is a false identity, and I accepted that it is a sin.

Thanks for sharing your struggle and victorious outcome. I pray that you will have a wonderful life as a woman of God, and that many will be blessed by your testimony.
