Not God’s Plan For Me To Die

I had been stabbed in the heart by a young man who hurt several people in a random attack and was in the UCU in a medically induced coma for several days after having 2 surgeries. Most people were fairly certain I would not survive. Just before I woke up, I saw Jesus sitting on the bottom right-hand corner of the bed just looking at me.

It was pretty dark and there was no “bright light”, but I could make out his face and know in my heart that our savior was with me. There was no fear and I was sure I was going with him. Just as I started to get out of the bed and reach for his hand, I woke up surrounded by my wife and family.

As a Christian, I can only believe it was not God’s plan for me to die that day and that His plan for my life is not complete yet. Faith is a true gift from the Lord, and I have always been a believer but to truly know that JESUS IS ALWAYS WITH ME is so comforting and I feel honored to be able to share my story.
