The Miracle of the Peach Tree and the Frogs

For years, I faced a frustrating battle in my own backyard. Every single year, squirrels would strip my peach tree bare, eating all the fruit before it could even ripen. I never got a single peach. Out of sheer anger and defeat, I finally decided I was going to cut the tree down.

But God had a different plan. Before I could chop it down, the Holy Spirit spoke clearly to my heart. He instructed me to pray over the tree, and to anoint the tree and the surrounding ground with Holy oil that I had made. Around that same time, my yard was being overrun by frogs that croaked loudly all night long during the spring. Prompted by the Spirit, I also anointed my yard and my entire fence line.

This was all done during the winter, long before spring arrived. As the months passed, I completely forgot about what I had done.

Midway through the summer, I happened to glance out the window at the peach tree. I stopped in my tracks. I couldn’t believe my eyes – the tree was absolutely loaded with beautiful, ripening fruit! For the first time since planting it years ago, the squirrels hadn’t touched it. Furthermore, the frogs had only shown up once that spring and never returned. The constant, disruptive noise was gone.

I was so shocked that I kept calling my son over to look out the window to confirm what I was seeing. I was completely puzzled by how suddenly everything had changed. Then, the Holy Spirit spoke to me again, gently reminding me: “Remember what you did with the Holy oil around the tree and your fence?”

What I thought was a coincidence was actually a direct answer to prayer. God protected my harvest and brought peace to my property. All glory to God for His faithfulness and for teaching me to listen to His voice!
