In January 2016, I was waiting in my car at a red light, when a car hit me from behind. The impact was forceful enough to cause my head to move rapidly back and forth. Miraculously, I was not physically injured, and my car had no structural damage. However, when I got home my right nostril was bleeding. As a precaution, I went to the emergency room and after they performed tests, I was told nothing was wrong.
Soon after, I began to bleed from my right nostril off and on for no reason. It went from a couple a times a year at home to ongoing and unexpectedly in public. I soon saw an ENT specialist who did not offer any answers or solutions. I saw yet another ENT who examined my nose with a camera and determined I had a severed nerve. According to this ENT, the solution was to have the nerve cauterized. I saw a third ENT who also determined the same findings. In both consultation visits, I decided not to cauterize the nerve but, pray and turn it over to the Lord. When episodes continued, I used saline spray as directed by ENT.
I would soon carry cotton balls in my purse so, I can use when I experienced an episode in public. Clearly, my quality of life was being affected.
Despite having to endure such disturbing episodes, I continued to pray and ask the Lord to heal my bleeding nerve in my right nostril. During this time period, I began assisting a new church, in hopes of becoming a member. Let me also share that my aging mother was a long-time member of this church.
At this church, members were kindly asked to buy different food items for the pastors. I wrestled with this directive because of what the pastor’s did for a living in connection with pastoral ministry. In prayer, I felt the Lord nudge me to follow through. Even though I was still reluctant, I was willing and happily obeyed.
Shortly thereafter, in April 2025, the pastor gave a testimony one evening during church service. The pastor began sharing how God supernaturally provided thousands of dollars that she and her husband were in need of to pay their property taxes. I knew this was a divine appointment. And at the very least, God was showing me how the pastors had a great need, despite their line of work.
However, in the middle of her testimony, my nose began to bleed. I had to quickly rush to the restroom. I began praying in the restroom …daddy please, I want to hear the pastor’s testimony. Eventually, I was able to go back into the sanctuary and finish hearing her miraculous testimony. I saw the pastors in a whole new light. In talking with the pastor that evening, I shared Matthew 20:16, the last will be first, and the first last (TLV). As we began to dialogue, we both agreed contrary to the world’s system, God’s kingdom is upside down.
I am sure your asking, whatever happened to my bleeding right nostril? Thanks be to my Heavenly Father Jesus Christ, after that evening, I never experienced another nosebleed again.
Jesus still heals in miraculous and creative ways.
