My name is Jonathan. I was born and brought up in a Christian family. I was living an ordinary Christian life and was deep into sin.
I completed my higher secondary schooling in the stream of commerce and was planning to go in the line of Baking. While my graduation period was coming to an end there was an astonishing event that occurred with me. One fine afternoon, on the 13th of February, 2014 while I was lying down on my bed I heard a voice calling out my name
“Jonathan.”
And I turned back to look who it was, as I was just lying down and not into a deep nap. Unfortunately, there was no one behind me. My father was in a deep sleep and there was no one in the house. I was surprised and thought that there was something wrong with me. I began browsing the net to find out what was wrong with me and found out there was a scientific reason behind it. But I knew that there was something more to it and was not satisfied within myself.
So, what I did was I asked God to reveal to me if he has called me or not as I have previously heard of people being called by their names. At night when I opened my Bible to read, it opened to Isaiah 45:3 where it says.
“And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel“
which was really intriguing and astonishing. Another point is that this was the same verse I received from Dr. Paul Dhinakaran (a man of God) in my last Birthday card.
Soon then after a few days I had a dream where two old people who were looking like Old Testament prophets told me that God has chosen you. And even the word of Isaiah 45:3 began to start fulfilling in my life.
Soon then this kick started a keen interest in me to start digging the word of God and I finally joined a Bible College and I’m doing my Bachelor of Divinity and I threw my all the other plans of banking. I thank God that he is visiting many young people in a supernatural way and calling them for his ministry in these last days.
