Okay, this is just too much for my little human mind to fathom. So, Im going with my spiritual mind frame instead.
Okay now as some of you may or may not know I’ve been unemployed since June 10, 2008. And that’s unusual for me because I love to work and it’s the way I like to spend my time. Job offers have been few and in-between since then, but I been praying, and praying, and praying and praying AND PRAYING. Fasting and everything.
So, finally I wake up this morning I decide I’m not praying no more. I’m a fuss with God instead. I was just like Jesus, I know you love me and everything, but I wouldn’t even want to spend this much time with me. So why you want to spend this much time with me? I’m not employed. My cell phone is off. I have no money. My bills steady stacking. So, Im saying lord did I pray wrong? Not enough faith? Did I do something wrong ? I mean lord let me know something because my patience is thin.
So, I’ve just have reached my breaking point, so I thought.
Not even five minutes later I checked my email. In one email this fellow Christian woman said someone sent her my resume. Which I didn’t know who. And she had over 13 job offers and interviews ready for me in person or over the phone. Each of them I would be making a minimum of $22 an hour or $55,000 or more in salary. Could you just see me sitting there with my foot in my mouth? Oh, I got some apologizing to do to the Lord.
Sitting there like Brown from Meet The Browns, “I’m sorry” lol. It is true what they say when you really going through it. Proclaim your blessings and give God the glory because your breakthrough is about to come through. I repented and blessed his name. But it shouldn’t of took that. I should’ve had faith and taken God on his word and his promise any way. God’s word can not return unto him void. “Ask and it will be given to you” Matthew 7:7. He didn’t say some things. Or whatever you think I’m capable of but ASK and it WILL be given unto YOU.
Also in in Mark 11:24 “Therefore, I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe you have received it and it will be yours”. Not some things or a few you but WHATEVER.
And it goes on “And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him/her, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you for your sins”.
Not easy but self-explanatory. I would’nt let no one stop my blessings from God. With a silly grudge not easy but think about your forgiveness from God and what you’re holding yourself back from. I betcha it’ll get a whole lot easier.
But this is my testimony to others. God is good all the time. Just trust in him if nothing else. When everything else fails you, he won’t. I’m so thankful. You know I really been going through it, if I was ready and willing to share some of that embarrassment with the world.
But I don’t care what no one thinks of me. This is about God’s glory and grace. And his unfailing mercy and unconditional love. Now somebody ought to praise. Thank you, Jesus. Glory be to God. Jesus Christ is lord! Hallelujah!
P.S. Don’t forget I’m only 19 years old! No college degree, yet! Okay, so if it ain’t God, you tell me what it is?
I agree with you on waiting for the Lord. I also testify on getting blessings right at the brink of despair. I also trust in the Lord at all costs because He is the only who has not let me down throughout my life.
George says,
God is an awesome God. If you accept Jesus as your personal Lord and savior, you will become a new creation and old is gone. Your prayers will be honoured. He says You may ask me for anything in my name, and i will do it.(John 14,14)In my life i have experienced his loving kindness and blessings. My Lord is an awesome God he has not let me down through out my life.Praise the Lord, Hallelujah.
Wow this testimony blessed me. I am 22 years old and I am looking for a job as we speak. I was down and I went online to look for jobs and I stumbled upon this site. First off bless God for your job. I know how to rejoice when others rejoice and it’s been a month since your post so I am sure you are enjoying your job. Second thank you for making me laugh with the Brown reference, I needed that. “THANK YOU” (like Brown lol) I thank God that he is able to perform that which he promises and I am believing and standing on his word for my job. It’s already done I am ready to walk into it. Be blessed.
I know this was written last year. But it really spoke to me today. I’m in that place of doubt right now. I’ve been out of work for two months and I don’t have the money to pay the rent next week. I’ve been job searching and haven’t been selected. I’m waiting right now to hear about a well paying job but I’ve gotten my hopes up so many times over the last 2 months, that my patience is running thin. Thank you for this testimony. I pray that I can have one of my own soon. And I pray that you are still working and praising God every day for your job!
Dear Everyone
Thank you for all your postings. I have been out of work for nearly two months now and everyday I have tried to smile, having hope that our beautiful God will come throught for me, has never let me down in the past.
I was let go from my last job unfairly and was making good money for them at the time, they did’nt want to pay my commissions anymore. With my faith in God, I do not want to hold anything against anyone.
My mother and father are both very sick in a starving country in Africa. I have been supporting them and at the sametime had to be strong for the rest of my family.
I just feel that I have run out of everything that I have, I am so, so tired. I have been really strong for the past 6 years.
I really thought I had a great chance at this job, but got an e-mail a couple of hours ago saying that they had given it to someone else.
I have no one here in the USA and have never felt as alone as I do now. God, I know that you are never late and always on time. Please help.
Dear Everyone,
I recently retired. I’ve been truly blessed!! I had hard times and I’ve struggled. I have a son who has been out of work since December 2008 and it’s now June 2009, but I have encouraged him to hold on to God’s unchanging hand and to not release his faith. It’s hard for him because he just as many of you, he didn’t mind working. My mother, sister and I flew in to spend time with him and to pray with him (this pass week). While we were there with him, he received a call regarding a job that he applied for in April. He had two telephone interviews and will be flying to Virginia on Tuesday for a final interview.I realize how looking with no visible results can be, but we’re trusting God for each of you as well as for him!
God Bless,
Cooper

I’m so very blessed and joyful to see everybody is inspired and modivated by my testimony even though it’s almost a year old. I’m praying for all of ya’ll to continue to trust the Lord on his word, be blessed.
P.S. I have switched jobs since I originally posted this testimony. I was in a similar position where the employer didn’t want to pay me my comission. I was out of work for 6 months. Another test of faith. But now I’m working for another fortune 500 company. And I didn’t think I would get the job because I didn’t have any experience in this paricular field and I didn’t have a high test score for the medical billing and coding. Not only did I get the interview, I got the job!!!! I didn’t do anything besides trust God on his word. I didn’t even deserve it. I’m just blessed to have his unfailing unconditional love, mercy, and grace. Be blessed.
Tamisha,
The favor of God is awesome! I’ll continue to lift you in prayer!!!
Be Blessed,
Cooper
Mandy,
Hold on. Continue to trust and have faith in God!!

I really needed this today!
With GOD all things are POSSIBLE.. i believe this, my husband works for an airline and his job role is on contract basis…and they keep telling they will terminate the contract staffs if they dont need them. I am really praying to have God’s will to be done in our life.
I am almost in tears reading this testimony and the post following. Here it is 2012 and I can relate so dearly to each of you. I also have been unemployed for awhile now, have had total tests of my faith like interviewing for positions with no job offer. Now here I am have been invited for an interview for a great and prestigious position from my point of view and now i’m needing confidence like never before. I don’t have faith in myself, BUT I DO TRUST IN MY HEAVENLY FATHER.God Bless You All!!!
This was really faith-lifting, I’m currently also confessing God’s Word and thanking Him that by faith I believe my husband will get a job this week.
Thank God for his blessings he directs his children to find wonderful testimonies about his works just when they need it I’ve just been blessed by this testimony and i know that my prayers have been answered in jesus name amen
To walk in faith! God really wants His children to walk in faith! As I’m a brother of all who believe in Jesus Christ the Lord, I want to share this about faith. I can’t and will not boast about anything in myself , as I’m just a little dust with no power in myself! I praise the Lord Jesus for saving a sinner like me ,and empowers me as a child of the Almighty GOD !!! I believe every single one of His children, are taught in numerous ways, how to walk in faith!
I’ve been thinking about this! It happens so many times that people ask for a “sign” from God or, a spiritual experience to strengthen their faith. They ask it ,without really knowing , that Jesus condemns that! He says that it is the unfaithful who do that! If God wants to reveal anything, He will do it through His ways, on His time and surely we must realize ,over and over – He knows the best! Wait for God and seek Him!
The Word says, it is due to our lack of knowledge ,that Satan manage to deceive us! One of the three biggest “weapons” Satan uses against us ,is our faith in our Lord Jesus Christ! If Satan can manage to destroy someone’s faith, he knows it may cause some to never go back to Jesus, or it may just make Satan happy, as to see how he makes their lives miserable! The Bible talks about – faith, hope and love and the biggest is love. We know that God is LOVE! The good news is, God says, NOTHING can take His children away from His love! To have faith in the God of Love( Almighty Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit), is to have a shield against the Evil one! In Eph 6 ,we read about the armor of God, and one of them is “the shield of faith”!
I want to share with you two things that I found , may cause people to “stumble” in their faith! These things came across my road as well, and I thought ,if I share it, it may just help to bring some into the clear. It happens that people may tell you, that the road of a child of God, is just covered with roses, and that a child of God will only prosper. That is indeed true for our everlasting lives in heaven, and… in some ways, me may experience some of that on earth, but don’t misinterpret it ! We are still on earth, where Satan is active, and in the most cases it just doesn’t work like that – especially when you start to follow Jesus! That is when Satan really start to attack you! As children of the Almighty God ,we proclaim and really believe that God is 100% in control ! Many people, even believers ask the question – If God is 100% in control, how can all the “bad” things then happen?
The Word says that God will force nobody to “follow” Him. It is clear, all of us have a choice for, or against the Holy Father God of Israel, Jesus Christ the Lord. In this world of sin, where Satan is the hungry lion , the false angel of the light and the father of all lies, we are in constant battle! We know the battle is not against flesh and blood, but against all evil in the sky! As we still live in our earthly bodies, Satan also uses men’s sinful nature against them in his battle. Although Jesus Christ our Savior, had gloriously won this battle more than 2000 years ago, Satan still wants to deceive us! He uses lies and the lack of knowledge of the Word, so that he can bring chaos and disbelieve to this world. He twist the Word and misuse the “everything must just go well part”, so that God’s children start to stumble when sudden storms come into their lives! For many people, everything apart from, “just going well”, is seen as from Satan.
This is the part ,where I believe the misunderstanding manage to come in! “Not going well”, may have different meanings, and in this we must know, God Almighty will prune us , He will purify us and He will make our faith grow in ways He knows the best! If everything on earth ,was just one party for God’s children, there wouldn’t be any challenges for our faith! We wouldn’t have to deal with Satan in any way and He wouldn’t have been “allowed”by God to touch us! In the Word, there are many examples of how God allowed Satan to attack God’s children. In the book of Job, the Word clearly shows us, how God allowed Satan, to really use most of his(Satan’s) power, to destroy all that Job had! Satan could do all ,except taking Job’s life! God will never change and as for the part on earth, we have a road to walk. We have a choice to submit to God and test Him on His promises. God won’t fail His promises, but “we”, very often fail in our faith! If we have faith, God will give as He promised! But…God may also not give to us , if He as our Heavenly Father sees ,what we ask will harm us! In real faith and obedience to God, we will also abide by the truth in The Holy Spirit, and then certainly ask what is in line with God’s will. It is also here, where our “demanding” human nature very often take us on the wrong road. We start to get “obstinate” with God , because, we may experience that He doesn’t give what we ask, and then we will even go further! People may even accuse God of not being faithful to His promises, or they may guide people in that way , and says …”God must do this” or… “God must do that ” , “because it is His promise ” Oooops! Bad ooops! We can’t and may not ever accuse God or say “God must” – we are humans. God “will” ,but God never “must” in our words!
God knows every heart inside and outside! If He doesn’t give, it’s because maybe…no or little faith, but He knows, He is the Almighty God! Sometimes we may ask the “wrong” things and then God may “allow” that, but we know … in God’s knowledge, He knows what the outcome will be! As for everything ,God will allows whatever He allows , because He knows the best for His children! The Word says that everything will work out for the better for God’s children. But… on earth , the truth is, we may never see a road covered with roses , we may never “prosper” in “earthly riches”, simply because it is definitely not the only way God works! Examples of that in the Word! If everything must “just go well” when you serve God, then why did the disciples of Jesus suffered as they did? Stephen was stoned to death, John the Baptist’s head was cut off and put in a tray and Paul spend a long time in prison! Till today, people die for there faith in Jesus!
Isn’t it so true? We see it in many testimonies – the moment someone starts to follow Jesus, suddenly there are many “attacks” in his or her live! It maybe in their finances, disease, some very bad experience/s and sometimes even death. That is why God teaches us to gather our treasures in heaven NOT on earth. That doesn’t mean you may not be rich and /or earn a lot of money- God may bless you in any way He wants to! But…again , it doesn’t mean He MUST give you health and wealth on earth as you wishes to! That is only by the grace of God that we may experience that. If you ask in faith, He may give it to you – not must! The reason – God says that He knows the best. If you ask for a bread, He won’t give you something bad! Sometimes we as humans, may think we ask for a bread, but God knows, if He gives us what we ask, it may cause us to fall! Surely the Word says:”Whatever you ask in My name, I will give to you”. That surely means, we must truly ask in faith, and then we will also be guided by the Holy Spirit, as to be within God’s will. Because we are children of God, He also knows what to give to us and what not! By knowing this, some people may have renewed hope and faith in God’s plan! Some might have lost their faith, because they don’t experience life as an “all just go well”. Because of that ,they might even believed ,that God doesn’t love them – THAT IS A LIE! God hates sin, but He send Jesus His only begotten Son, so that who so ever believeth in Him will never die!
Father God, in the Name of Jesus Christ the Lord, I ask you to teach us to walk in faith! Guide us through your Word and the Holy Spirit , so that we can withstand Satan when he attacks our faith in you!Thank you Lord that we have the promise, that nothing can take us away from your love, we praise your Holy Name through Jesus Christ our Lord! Amen ! Praise our Heavenly Father! Amen!
