God’s Favour in The Office

I’m sharing this on behalf of my wife. She works in an organization where she was always passed over when good things came around and so often felt bad about working there even though she put in many efforts at delivering on her schedules. Even promotions were difficult, though some eventually came. Her bosses trusted her with much work, even sensitive and tasking ones and she always delivered but some notable rewards were withheld even though she got verbal commendations from them and even from her subordinates too. This went on for more than 20 years. She felt really left out and frustrated.

One night in 2019 while I prayed over a personal issue, I heard the voice of God say- “your wife will be remembered in her office just like Mordecai was remembered in the book of Esther” I was happy and told her the next morning. Well, nothing changed at work for the next six years and I was beginning to doubt if I really heard right or the source of what I knew I heard.

Last year 2025, while I was lying down idly, I heard God say:

1. He explained an incident that had happened in my home in 2020 that was really deadly, but He had intervened, He revealed who had bewitched us – attacked our son to the point of near death and almost destroyed our marriage and also

2. clarified that the person we had suspected all these years was innocent and then added

3.” your wife will be sent on a foreign trip from her office” I was elated when I heard this because the incidence of 2020 almost tore my home apart and it took more than five years to rebuild our marriage and the individual exposed was someone we didn’t think of at all. Well, I took it in good faith but decided that if my wife got to be so favoured in her office then I would finally believe the other two revelations. We waited and waited but the status quo continued in her office.

Then suddenly, a year later in 2026 things started to shift in quick sequences –

1. After three failed attempts due to one reason beyond her control, she was promoted to directorate cadre in her organization.

2. Two weeks later she was sent abroad as the leader of the delegation on an official assignment. (Fulfillment of God’s direct promise of 2025 and 2019)

3. The very day she got back from abroad she was sent to another city for a week’s training for new directorate level staff.

4. The very day she got back from that training she was unexpectedly posted (promoted) to head a sensitive division in her department.

Though the hard work continues, I see a light shining in and through her now that I had never known with her. I praise God for remembering her as He had said. We both are grateful to God for these mercies.

The other person whom God exposed is something that shocks me to date and shows how evil the world really is and also that God is able and does save his children from dangers we are not even aware of. Also, the other person God exonerated is a relationship I know He in His time will help us restore.

All in all, these have been a personal encouragement to keep seeking God and living for Him alone completely against all the distractions, errors, lies, half-truths, deceptions, etc. of the people and systems of this fallen world.
