On February 14, 2024—my last day as Business Services Coordinator at Workforce Connections – I went to a doctor’s appointment to have a heart monitor placed at Tennessee Heart. Afterward, while crossing a four-way intersection near Cookeville Regional, I was struck by a car.
The impact threw me into the air. Everything spun. When I hit the ground, pain engulfed the right side of my body. I screamed. A man – an off-duty nurse – held my head and reassured me. I heard someone call 911. Then the ambulance arrived and collided with another car nearby, adding to the chaos.
Amid the fear and pain, a woman came to my side. She asked if she could pray over me. I nodded, and through tears, felt her hand on my shoulder and heard her praying aloud. She then gathered my belongings from the street and offered to call someone. She got into my phone and reached my fiancé, John. She even offered to pick him up when he told her his truck was in the shop. But John found a way, borrowed a vehicle, and sped to the hospital praying for my life.
Over a year passed.
Then recently, John met a couple while giving a construction bid. They connected over faith, and we all became friends – attending church together and forming a small group. The wife’s name was Caitlin. On June 24, 2025, I stopped by to bring John drinks while he worked in the summer heat. Caitlin came out to chat.
As I told her about starting a new job and preparing for a deposition related to the accident, she suddenly asked, “Did you get hit by a car near the hospital?”
I said, “Yes! How did you know?”
With wide eyes, she exclaimed,
“That was YOU?! I was the one who prayed over you. I’ve been praying for you ever since that day. I even woke up this morning thinking about you and prayed again!”
At that moment, we were both touched by the Holy Spirit, chills running down our spine. After more than a year of friendship forming, we discovered our paths had already crossed – through a divine appointment only God could arrange.
God hears every prayer. He connects hearts for His purpose. He is always working—even when we don’t yet see the full picture.

God’s ways of divine intervention never ceaseto amaze. Indeed we have a wonderful and amazing God.
People who love God, and who look to see if He is working in their lives, often find Him in life’s “coincidences”. Thanks for sharing this testimony!
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Psalm 46:1 KJV
That is a divine visitation. The Holy Spirit led the person to minister to you and to continue praying for you. God confirmed to you that He is the One that took over the situation on that 24th February 2024 by reconnecting you to the person He brought your way. To God be all the glory.
May the Lord continue to strengthen you. May you fulfill the purpose of God for your life in Jesus name.
Shalom
