A Sinner to a Healed Believer

“I was broken. I was afraid. But Jesus healed me and gave me life again.”
By Austin Sharon (Age 25, Law Intern, 9620972968)

I always had big dreams. I’m a 25-year-old law intern, a village boy with bold ambition to rise high, to lead, and to make my family proud. But deep down, I was drifting. I believed in Jesus, but I wasn’t truly walking with Him. My prayer life was shallow, my spirit was weak, and I was depending more on my strength than His.

Then, out of nowhere, a storm hit my body and soul.

I began suffering from terrible back pain that radiated down my right leg. It got worse day by day. After my first MRI on 14th May 2025, doctors gave me terrifying news:

  • Severe disc bulges at L4–L5 and L5–S1
  • Bilateral nerve compression
  • SPINAL CANAL NARROWING

“Worst of all — signs of CAUDA EQUINA SYNDROME — a condition that could lead to permanent paralysis and loss of bladder control”

I was rushed to six spine specialists.
Each one told me:

“You need urgent surgery or you might lose your ability to walk.”

I was shattered. I cried in silence. All my dreams felt like they were collapsing.

At that time, I lost all hope. But my mother and family stood in the gap for me.

They told me:

“Don’t fear the doctor’s words. Trust in Jesus. Cry out to Him.”

I didn’t have strong faith. But I obeyed—even with a half-hearted prayer. I said,

“Jesus, if You are real, help me. Heal me. I have nothing left but You.”

On 15th June 2025, I went for a second MRI.
To the complete surprise of every doctor…

  • NO Cauda Equina Syndrome
  • NO spinal canal narrowing
  • No need for emergency surgery

Even the top spine surgeon confirmed by saying that

“Your nerve is only moderately compressed. You don’t need surgery anymore.”

At that moment, I realized: Jesus had healed me. He didn’t wait for my perfect prayer. He didn’t demand great faith. He touched me in my brokenness, and proved His love is greater than any diagnosis.

I fell to my knees and cried silently—not out of pain, but out of gratitude. He didn’t just heal my spine. He healed my heart.

Today, pray seeking Jesus, walking with Him daily. I follow a disciplined healing routine, but above all, I walk by faith—because I know my healing came from Him alone.

I am no longer the same.
I am no longer afraid.
I am no longer just a law intern.
I am a servant of the Living God, called for His glory.

I will stand boldly before crowds, churches, and nations.
I will proclaim this miracle so that others may know:

“Jesus still heals. Jesus still loves. Jesus still saves the sinners and half faithed people like me”.
