A Life of No Love?

I have had a life of no love, affection or support even from my adoptive parents. But the dog they had gave me the unconditional love. They gave him away and he died of Lymphoma.

I have no family and I’m 76 yrs old. I have a Lab mix that has had a traumatic beginning of life and still suffers anxiety. Poor dog has had different types of tumors, and one was a mast cell tumor. He has probably 15 lioomas and now has a strange harder attached palm size lump on the side of his scapula. He as had seizures, spot on his eye, which now he has a black mark on the same eye. He also has a black inch make on his genitalia. He never seems to have a break from any of these diseases and the black mark on his eye, hard lump by scapula and black mark on genitalia may be cancerous. He is all I have and he is 19 years old.

I have polycythemia vera which is a cancer of the blood plus possible tumor on adrenal gland. I have been rejected by my family and have no friends and I know it’s not good to say but he is my life. I have anxiety and depression, but my medication isn’t working for this. I love when he lays by me but now all I think about is how terrible it would be to not have that anymore.

I pray every day for him, but I am so afraid that he still won’t be healed. I have had no one that I could trust in my life, so I think that affects my faith. I do thank God for the few good things in my life, but sadly there aren’t many blessings with the important prayers I have employed God with. I can’t seem to get my mind off that I don’t have faith like most people and God will punish me for that and that I love my dog too much.
